Polyaluminum chloride, with the chemical formula Al2Cl (OH) 5, is a commonly used inorganic flocculant. It is obtained by the reaction of aluminate and hydrochloric acid, and has high flocculation ability and stability, widely used in sewage treatment.

The role of polyaluminum chloride in the treatment of printing and dyeing wastewater
-Adsorption bridging: The molecular structure of polyaluminum chloride gives it strong adsorption ability, which can adsorb suspended solids and dye particles in wastewater, causing them to aggregate together and form larger flocs.
-Charge Neutralization: Polyaluminum chloride has a positive charge and can neutralize negatively charged suspended solids and dye molecules in wastewater, causing them to lose stability and subsequently precipitate.
-Precipitation formation: Polyaluminum chloride forms flocs with suspended solids and dye particles in wastewater, and then settles to the bottom under the action of gravity, achieving solid-liquid separation
