Product Introduction
Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear polymer with the chemical formula (C3H5NO) n Polyacrylamide, as a lubricant, suspension agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, fluid loss agent, and thickener, has been widely used in drilling, acidification, fracturing, water plugging, cementing, secondary oil recovery, and tertiary oil recovery. It is an extremely important oilfield chemical.
It has three models：anions, cations, and nonionic.
Application of polyacrylamide in printing and dyeing wastewater
1. Preprocessing stage
Pre treatment is usually carried out before the printing and dyeing wastewater enters the biological treatment system. Adding polyacrylamide at this time can quickly remove most of the suspended solids, colloidal substances, and some chromaticity in the sewage, reduce the load on subsequent treatment units, and improve the stability and reliability of the entire treatment system.
2. Biological treatment stage
Although polyacrylamide itself is not a biological treatment agent, it can be combined with biological treatment processes to improve the removal efficiency of microorganisms for pollutants. For example, in the activated sludge process, PAM can improve the settling performance of sludge, prevent sludge swelling, and enable microorganisms to better contact pollutants in wastewater, thereby improving biodegradation efficiency.
3. Deep processing stage
For printing and dyeing wastewater that has not yet reached the discharge standards after biological treatment, polyacrylamide can be used for deep treatment. Through further coagulation and sedimentation, residual fine suspended solids, dissolved organic matter, and chromaticity in sewage can be removed, making the effluent water clearer and meeting discharge standards or reuse requirements.
